Habesohn has reached six European Championship finals

Daniel Habesohn is the son of table tennis player Sonita Habesohn. His brothers Mathias and Dominik are also top Austrian players. Daniel played for clubs like Union Sparkasse Korneuburg, TTV Wiener Neudorf 1947, ASKÖ Linz Altstadt, and SVS Niederösterreich, with whom he reached the Champions League final in 2002 and 2007, winning it in 2008. In 2016, he won the ETTU Cup with SG Weinviertel and then moved to the German Bundesliga to play for Post SV Mühlhausen, where he won Champions League bronze in 2023.
He has reached five European Championship doubles finals: after gold in 2012 and 2018, he secured silver in 2013, 2015, and 2022. In 2015, he was naturally part of the legendary gold-winning team. In the same year, he finished second with the Austrian team at the World Team Cup in Dubai.
In 2012, he reached the World Tour Finals doubles final. In 2014, he celebrated his only World Tour victory in Hungary, and in 2019, he reached the semifinals of the Slovenia Open. In Linz, Habesohn has particularly strong medal chances in doubles.
